Continuing the Business...

According to the National Association of Schools of Art and Design http://nasad.arts-accredit.org/index.jsp, more than 2,400 BFA's and 590 MFA's were awarded in one year. That same year, schools interested in this market received 110 applications for every position offered. This being said, as an artist, it is best to search for a second career. Personally, I have found that private lessons, and teaching at a local college are great alternate routes.  Check around for options, there may be more than you think. Statistics show that the two most profitable positions for an art major are teaching or painting murals. I have chosen both. I dont have a house at the beach yet, but I'm working on it.
